SERVICE PANEL UPGRADES
We're currently running a service panel upgrade special!
Details below...
If you're like hundreds of new home buyers, you've found either through a home inspection or remodeling project that your service panel needs to be upgraded. Sometimes, badly! Case in point. I had a good friend of mine Paul buy a new home. He had a problem with the pool outlet not working. (See Pool & Spas) I came over and found a none working GFI but also a panel that had open panels with cardboard over them!
You would not believe the number of homes in Middlesex County alone that still have a service panel with fuses.
I still remember my Father telling me stories of people who would put pennies under a 30 amp fuse in order to avoid a blow out and I needed to be on the look out for it.
I guess those were the days since I have never seen that, but there are still some dangers you need to be aware of that I hope I can help you with.
First off, a fuse panel is only as good as the fuse you have installed. In other words, if you have a 30 amp fuse (the max) in a 15 amp max wiring, then of course you avoid the fuse blowing out and everything works, (for a time) but then there is this problem of your house burning down.
I have inspected I don't know how many panels that were down right dangerous and I'd know idea how the home survived this long.
Even homes where an electrician was JUST in the home and never said a word about a problem with the panel.
So either they had now idea, or they sent an person out to do a job, but that person was a laborer and was only there to do what was on the job order.
Look, every single person that I send on a job knows what they are doing and knows what to look for. They are certified mechanics and trained to the standards that has brought my electrical business through even the most rigorist state inspections.
Feel confident that I will get the job done, in the price we agreed on, with NO inspection issues or I make it right.
It's as easy as that.
Please don't trust your family to just anyone.
